Understanding the 10 Statistics
- Total Characters: Total character count excluding newlines; spaces count as characters.
- Chinese Characters: Count of CJK Unified Ideographs (U+4E00–U+9FA5), excluding punctuation.
- Full-width Symbols: Non-ASCII characters minus Chinese chars — includes 。，！？「」 and other CJK punctuation.
- English Letters: Total count of A–Z and a–z characters, excluding digits and symbols.
- English Words: Space/punctuation-delimited English word count, excluding numeric tokens (e.g. "hello world" = 2 words).
- Half-width Symbols: Count of ASCII punctuation characters like !@#$%,./?()[]{}— includes any half-width symbols used in Chinese text.
