Date Calculator offers three modes — date difference, add/subtract, and workdays — all using timezone-safe calendar arithmetic, so results never shift because of the user’s timezone or a DST transition.
They describe the same span two different ways: "total days" is an absolute day count (optionally +1 to include the end date), while the calendar breakdown is a walk like "1 year, 4 months, 12 days". Both are shown separately and clearly labeled so they are never confused.
No. All date math uses timezone-safe calendar arithmetic (pure calendar math anchored to UTC internally), which is never affected by the user's timezone or a DST transition — calendar-day results stay consistent.
The current version (v1) only excludes Saturdays and Sundays — public holidays are not included, and the UI clearly discloses this.
