WHAT IS IMAGE COLOR EXTRACTOR?

Upload an image to get its dominant colors with HEX codes, each one copyable — useful for pulling a palette from a photo or mockup. The image is processed only in your browser.

How to use?

  1. Drag & drop or click to upload any image (JPG/PNG/WebP/GIF). The tool instantly extracts up to 8 dominant colors and displays them as swatches.
  2. Hover over the image to reveal a 5× magnifier loupe with a crosshair. It shows the exact color code at the cursor position in real time.
  3. Click on the image to pick the exact pixel color at that point. The result appears on the right with HEX, RGB, and HSL formats all listed.
  4. Toggle HEX / RGB / HSL above to change the copy format. Click any color swatch to instantly copy the value in your chosen format.
  5. Click "Copy as CSS Variables (:root)" to get all colors as --color-N variables at once. All processing is local — no images are uploaded.
